Writing Skills for Business Professionals

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a writing course designed for the business professionals who desire to improve their writing skills in a manner that is appropriate for their area of employment in business and industry. The focus of this course will be how to write specific formats including Meeting Agenda and Summaries, Business Reports, Annual Reports, Abstracts, and Proposals.

A Diagnostic Pretest will tease out the basic components of grammar, sentence structure, word usage, subject-verb agreement, etc. The Pretest will be scored and reviewed, with discussion made by the Course Leader. In subsequent sessions, the Course Topics will be drawn from the foundational pieces of good writing. By the end of this course series, well-developed writing samples will have been produced by each participant who completes the course.

This course series is video-based and utilizes current automated tools and content to facilitate asynchronous delivery, review, and remediation by end users, when desire.
